Taking care of your BlackWolf backpack

To give your pack the best and longest life possible, you should do your best to keep it clean.

After every trip make sure that your pack is free of any loose dirt. If your bag's dry, use a dry brush to clean off dust and dirt from the outside fabric, turn the pack upside down and shake out any dirt, sand or crumbs from the inside. Wipe out any spills from the inside with a damp cloth or sponge. Lastly, before storing, make sure your pack is completely dry and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.

If your pack is in need of a bigger clean, find yourself a bathtub, washing sink or big bucket and and use cold water to scrub. With a small nailbrush or light scrubbing brush gently scrub the fabric to loosen and dislodge any ingrained dirt.

Avoid using soap or detergent if possible, for stubborn dirt or stains use a small amount of soap (not detergent) or a specially formulated outdoor gear cleaner (available at outdoor shops). Rinse the pack thoroughly in fresh water, especially if you have used soap, and hang out to dry away from direct sunlight.

Lastly, before storing, make sure your pack is completely dry and especially check the foam padded parts are dry and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.

Rolling luggage can be cleaned using the methods above but should not be completely submerged during cleaning because it could cause damage to the wheels and handle mechanism.
