30 Years of Adventure: The BlackWolf Story

Back in 1996, we set out with a simple but strong vision: to make exploring the outdoors easier, more enjoyable, and more accessible for everyone. We wanted to build gear that worked as hard as the people carrying it—durable, dependable, and something you could proudly take anywhere in the world.  

In the early days, it was travel that made our heartbeat, and that hasn’t really changed 30 years on. We still focus on creating equipment that takes the worry out of the journey, so that adventurers can stay present, curious, and fully immersed in the experience ahead. It was here that we saw beloved BlackWolf travel bags come to life, and still stand today, such as the Grand Teton and Grand Tour.

Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown, and so has our ambition. We’ve pushed designs further, taken bold steps when the adventure called for it, and stepped into new product categories. Through every evolution, one thing has stayed the same: the values that shaped BlackWolf from day one.

Today, our range is broader and our horizons wider, but our purpose remains grounded in honesty, practicality, and a genuine love for the outdoors. We span products across camping, hiking and travel, and are constantly evolving and developing. We believe the best memories are the ones shared outside, and our gear is built to support those moments.

To celebrate 30 years of adventure, we will introduce a limited-edition Heritage Collection in April 2026. This collection will be a tribute to the products, stories, and journeys that have shaped the brand. Drawing inspiration from our most iconic designs and the Australian landscape, this collection reimagines classic silhouettes with modern materials and updated functionality, honouring our past while looking firmly to the future. 

Our Heritage Collection will be available to our BlackWolf members on Monday 6 April, 2026, before being released to the general public.
