Bags are all about personal fit

I live in a rural area, so trying on different bags isn't really an option for me.

I brought this bag because the price and weight suited my needs and I trust the brand because of previous purchases.

Great quality for the price is definitely my experience and this bag didn't disappoint.

This particular bag has a frame that curves inwards and a solid bit at the back of the head which so far I'm not keen on.

I'm experimenting with different packing configurations.

It's got good air circulation at the back, comfortable overall support and my lower back feels supported by the foam and solid structure.

One of the trekking poles straps had an issue, which was easily fixed. (Well, so far appears ok...time will tell.)

The whistle is disappointing, I wouldn't use it in an emergency it's not loud at all. Nothing like previous bags from Blackwolf which have had great whistles.

The reach around angle of the side "water bottle" pouches doesn't suit my short frame well, I will need to remove the pack to access them.

Overall I'm happy to recommend Black wolf as a good mid range option.

Generally buying assorted sleeping bags etc from them I've found bulk is often the trade off for weight savings.

For the price, I'd prefer the bulk over the weight, so this works for my budget.

I was a little disappointed with the state the package arrived in... I've never had issues before, so hopefully this was a one off.

(The postal bag was a tiny bit too small and the seal wasn't closed well as a result.

The Blackwolf bag wasn't damaged.)

My teenage Son has had a Blackwolf bag as his school bag for much longer than any previous bag has lasted.

He loves it. He's not gentle with his school bags.
